“I wanted to practice law with men and women who had a passion for the practice of law and had a reputation for unequivocal professional ethics and personal integrity. I found that when I met Jim Carroll, Jim Warren, and Myles Parker.”
Mr. Mask is in his 26th year of practicing law. His practice includes extensive trial experience in state and federal court. He has served as lead counsel on approximately 50 cases that have been tried to conclusion. His litigation practice includes the full spectrum of state and local governmental litigation as well as commercial litigation, trial of insurance bad faith and coverage claims, product liability claims, construction and contractual disputes, and Section 1983 constitutional and civil rights claims. In recent years, Mr. Mask has successfully defended and prosecuted claims arising out of the decisions of municipal and county-governing authorities, has prevailed in having county and state legislation ruled unconstitutional, and has prosecuted successful annexations on behalf of multiple cities. His practice also includes administrative proceedings and regulatory compliance, including proceedings before the Mississippi Public Service Commission and the United States Department of Justice. In addition to Mr. Mask’s extensive jury trial experience, he has tried numerous bench trials as counsel for Mississippi municipalities and county Boards of Supervisors. In recent years, he has represented approximately 40 municipal and county governmental entities in the State of Mississippi. Such representation includes annexation litigation, zoning litigation, civil rights litigation, employment litigation, and utility construction litigation.
