CWP Members (L to R): J. Chadwick Mask, Myles A. Parker, James L. Carroll, R. Douglas Morgan, Jim Warren. |
There is unique chemistry between Carroll Warren & Parker's
members. It is this blending of assets that sets the tone for
this firm. The members see great value in being open to and accepting
of differing opinions and perspectives.
CWP's approach to the litigation practice begins with the seasoned
experience of its senior member, James L. Carroll. His 32 years
of practice include time as a member in a large law firm where
he concentrated on litigation. He gravitated toward complex litigation
and insurance coverage work and, over time, developed an international
practice in the area of insurance coverage disputes. In 1994,
he founded the Jackson office of another Mississippi firm. Soon
thereafter, he was joined in that venture by Jim Warren and Myles
Parker, both of whom brought experience in a wide range of litigation
including products liability, business disputes, and criminal
litigation. Together, they visualized what a strategic planning, dispute
resolution, and litigation firm could be and realized that if they
wanted to practice in such a firm, they would have to create it.
This conviction manifested itself in the establishment of CWP.
They now have a firm that is the ideal size: large enough to tackle
any case, yet small enough for the team concept to flourish. The attorneys have an understanding of the goals and needs of
all the clients, and when the time comes to "ramp up"
and litigate, the team is ready to move.
In short, CWP has achieved success beyond the expectations
of its founding members. It is success made possible through the
collective talents of firm members, associates, and support staff,
all working in concert. By fostering a culture that rewards hard
work and encourages involvement, CWP has taken the vision of its
members to even greater heights.
